Shirin Movahed is a lawyer who is licensed to practice in New York, Florida and DC. With over 10 years’ experience practicing corporate, commercial, litigation and intellectual property law, Shirin provides a deep understanding of entering the US market. Having previously worked at several large national and international law firms, Shirin brings her formidable years of experience and expertise to her clients in the financial, entertainment, consumer product, celebrity, fashion and art industries. Shirin’s scope of practice includes corporate, commercial, trademarks, copyright, real estate, franchise, employment and licensing laws. In her corporate practice, Shirin is experienced in all aspects of corporate formation and governance including the preparation, review and negotiation of operating and shareholder’s agreements, employment agreements, acquisition/merger agreements, franchise agreements, licensing agreements, asset purchase and sale agreements, and intellectual property agreements.
As part of her litigation practice, Shirin has represented clients in several multi-million dollar high-profile individual and multi-claimant securities fraud cases, shareholder derivative suits, intellectual property infringements suits, as well as representing commercial real estate development companies, banking institutions, lenders, and other public and private companies with respect to a variety of commercial litigation issues.
With her background in finance, Shirin has also provided an added benefit to her clients by preparing formal business plans, private placement memorandums and other investor proposals, and has effectively assisted her national and international clients in expansion projects into foreign markets in various industries, most notably in technology, fashion and arts.
